Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on approach that invites the body into a deeper state of rest, regulation, and integration. Developed from the work of osteopathic physician Dr. William Garner Sutherland, CST works with subtle movement and rhythms within the body, with particular attention to the craniosacral system, which includes the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid surrounding and protecting the brain and spinal cord. Through light, attentive touch, the practitioner listens to the body rather than forcing or manipulating it, creating conditions that support the body's innate capacity toward balance and ease.

A CST session is often experienced as profoundly quiet and restorative. As the nervous system begins to settle, you may notice changes in breathing, muscle tone, sensation, temperature, emotion, or awareness. Some people experience a feeling of spaciousness, groundedness, warmth, or deep relaxation; others become aware of subtle sensations, memories, emotions, or internal shifts. There is no particular experience you need to have or outcome you need to achieve. The invitation is simply to slow down, receive, and become more deeply attuned to your body.

CST can be especially supportive when life has felt demanding, when you are carrying persistent tension or overwhelm, or when you are seeking a greater sense of connection with yourself. The work offers a rare opportunity to step out of doing and into receiving, allowing space for awareness to emerge without needing to analyze, fix, or force anything. For many people, this quiet attention to the body becomes a pathway toward greater calm, embodied awareness, self-connection, and a felt sense of inner spaciousness.

Your Practitioner studied Craniosacral Therapy from 2004–2008 and has been practicing since that time, bringing more than two decades of experience to this work. Their approach is gentle, intuitive, and relational, drawing on extensive experience in somatic and therapeutic practices. Each session is responsive to the person in front of them, creating a grounded and compassionate space in which you can rest, listen inwardly, and allow your own body and awareness to guide the process.

CST is not about making the body do something; it is about listening. Through stillness, subtle touch, and attentive presence, the session creates an invitation to reconnect with the body's quieter signals and with the deeper intelligence of your own experience. Rest, receive, and return to yourself.
